Itinerary

Option 1.

Day 01. Arrival in kathmandu and check in to hotel. Afternoon half day sightseeing to Patan Durbar Square. 3 hrs

Patan Durbar square

5 kms/3 miles away from Kathmandu city. Patan also known as Lalitpur, is the city of fine arts, enclosed within 4 stupa said to be built in 3 rd century AD, by Emperor Ashoka. You will see the Durbar square, Krishan Temple built by King Siddhi Narsingh Malla, Hiranya Varna Mahavihar and Mahabouddha Temple.

Day 02. Full day sightseeing tour in kathmandu- 6-7 hrs and stay overnight

Sightseeing places:

Kathmandu:

Known as Kantipur, the capital of the kingdom of Nepal. Here you will visit the temple of living goddess who acknowledges the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence. Kastamandap- the source of the name Kathmandu and supposed to be made from the timber of a single tree and the Durbar square are with its array of temples overlooked by the Hanuman Dhoka palace, the ancient place of the Nepalese Royalty.

Swyambhunath:

Located approximately 4 km/2.5 miles, this Buddhist stupa is said to be 2000 years old. The stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. This hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagoda temples.

Pashupatinath

Situated 5 km east of Kathmandu city, pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest temples dedicated to lord shiva. Situate amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple built in pagoda style has glint roof and richly cared silver doors. Visitors will be permitted to view the temple from the east bank of Bagmati River, entrance in the temple being strictly forbidden to all non Hindus. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of shivaratri which falls in the month of February / March. Behind the temple are the cremation grounds.

Boudhanath:

This stupa, 8 km east of Kathmandu city, is one of the biggest in the world of its kind. It stands with four pairs of eyes in the four cardinal direction keeping watch for righteous behavior and human prosperity. The Buddhis Stupa was built by king Man Deva at the advice of the Goddess Mani Jogini. It is built on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. The shrine is ringed by houses of Lamas or Buddhist priest.

Day 03. Half day sightseeing tour to Bhaktapur and drive to Nagarkot and stay overnight in Nagarkot

Bhaktapur

Also known as Bhadgaun meaning the city of devotees, this place is the home of medieval art and architecture. Lying 14km/9 miles of Kathmandu city, this place was founded in the 9th century and is shaped like a conch shell. The city is at the height of 4600 ft. above sea level. In bhadgaon you will visit the Durbar square with its array of temples overlooked by the palace of 55 windows built by king Bhupatindra mall. Here you will also visit the Teleju temple which is the best example of pagoda style structure in Nepal and stands on five terraces on each of which stands a pair of figures, two strong men, two elephants, two lion’s two griffins and two goddesses.

Nagarkot

Nagarkot is one of the most scenic sport situated about 35 km east of kathmandu from where an excellent view of snow- capped peaks of the Himalayan rangers in eastern Nepal can be seen ( if weather permits), as well as renowned for he spectacular sunrise.

Day 04. From Nagarkot hike to Changunarayan and then drive to Kathmandu and stay overnight

On this day we hike from Nagarkot through beautiful small local villages and terraces for about 3-4 hrs to reach Changunarayan.

Changunarayan Temple:

Changunarayan Temple is the most ancient temple in kathmandu valley made around 3rd century.  This temple is dedicated to lord Bishnu, the preserver of creation in Hinduism. A fifth century stone inscription, the oldest to be discovered in Nepal, is located in the temple compound.

Day 05. Early morning mountain flight and rest free day and transfer to airport and fly back

Early morning you take an hour mountain flight to see Mt. Everest and many other spectacular mountain ranges.

Day 01. Arrival in Kathmandu and check in to hotel and half day sightseeing in Patan

Day 02. Morning fly to pokhara and full day sightseeing in pokhara visit David fall, Gupteshowar mahadev cave, Tibetan refugee camp and hike to world peace stupa and stay overnight in pokhara

Pokhara valley:

One of the most beautiful valleys, surrounded by natural beauty. The peace full lakes, hills, caves, waterfall, temples and the magnificence Himalayas rising behind them create peace and magic in both mind and heart.

Sightseeing places in pokhara:

David falls:

One of the popular tourist attractions in pokhara named after David who was swept by the river and disappeared into the underground passage of the waterfall. The water fall is amazing to see mostly after the monsoon or in monsoon time when the water have high volume.

Gupteshowar cave:

Gupteswar Gupha (cave), a sacred cave, lies 2 km from Pokhara airport just next to David fall and is almost 3 km long on the Siddhartha Highway leading southwest from the city. This cave holds special value for Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition it was discovered.

Tibetan Refugees camp:

Visit the Tibetan refugee’s camp and their lifestyle.

World Peace Stupa

About one and half hour hike takes us to a massive Buddhist stupa which is situated on top of a hill on the southern shore of Phewa lake. Besides being an impressive sight in itself, the shrine is a great vantage point which offers spectacular views of the Annapurna range and Pokhara city.

Day 03. Early morning visit to sarangkot and back to hotel and then go to explore the Fewa Lake by boating and see barahi temple and fly to Kathmandu in afternoon and stay overnight

Sarangkot- Early morning we drive to sarangkot about 1 hrs drive from pokhara which is situated at the height of 1592m. The is the formal kaski fort lying on the top of the hill. We could see the superb mountain view from here if the weather permitted. 

Fewa lake and barahi temple:

Fewa lake is one of the most attraction places in pokhara. The Barahi temple is almost in center of Fewa Lake dedicated to the boar manifestation of Ajima, the protesters deity representing the female force Shakti. The two storied pagoda temple is one of the most important shrine Hindus.

Day 04. Drive to nagarkot and hike to changunarayan and sightseeing changunarayan and bhaktapur, back to Kathmandu and stay overnight

We drive from Kathmandu to nagarkot take about an hour drive and then we start our hike through beautiful small local villages and terraces for about 3-4 hrs to reach Changunarayan.
