Leave for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Back to hotel and stay.
After a very exciting 3 hour drive in the rough roads, we will reach Thumsikot. Thumsikot is about 3 hours drive from Pokhara. The drive is a very exciting drive, the rough roads, the awesome beauties, the flora and fauna that one gets to see is simply awesome. One can also enjoy the beautiful Begnas lakes and other seven lakes of the region. After the initial easy trek, it now will be a tough ascend for Nangidhar and Pakhrikot; beautiful Gurung villages lying at an altitude of approximately 1900 meters. You can see the beautiful cultures and the lifestyles of the Serga.
The trek starts with several hours straight walk and the trekking routes passed through jungles, beautiful waterfalls and the chirpings of the birds, then after it is a straight descend for another 2 hours for a place called Bagaicha, for lunch. After lunch continuously working to Pasagaun village. This village is much more cleanly compared to the Nangidhar or Pakhrikot and even the food is good and even the beds were much more comfortable.
The longest day of the trekking, it starts with a descending for about 3 hours and again ascended for another 2 and ½ hours. One can stop for Bhujung for lunch or even stay overnight. Bhujung, a compact and a densely populated village looks really attractive from little down and on its way to the village.
After Bhujung it is a straight walk to Ghalegaun Ghanpokhara for about 2 and ½ hours. This beautiful Gurung village, lying at an altitude of approximately 2016 and 2050 respectively is simply awesome. One can enjoy the majestic mountain ranges from this place; the early morning sunrise is simply spectacular.
The day’s trek is simply downhill. One has to continuously down trek for almost four hours before one can stop for Lunch at Khudi.
The trail passes through the beautiful forest, if you are lucky enough you will also get to see some of the wildlife’s. This area holds a tremendous potentiality for bird watching. It really can be a birdwatcher’s paradise.
