The trail winds through dense forests, terraced fields, and traditional Nepalese villages, providing a glimpse into the local way of life. As you ascend higher into the mountains, you'll reward it with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, including the Ganesh Himal range, Langtang Lirung, and Manaslu. The trek also takes you through the Ganesh Himal Base Camp, where you can marvel at the towering peaks and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the surrounding wilderness. Itinerary


Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel

Representatives of our office will be on hand with our vehicle to pick you up at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and your name will be displayed on our signboard in front of the airport terminal. Then you will drop to your hotel. It will be your first-night stay in Kathmandu valley. You will be staying at a three-star deluxe hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

Your second day in Nepal is all about exploring the splendid sights of the historic city of Kathmandu. After your breakfast, you shall witness the artistry and culture surrounding the UNESCO world heritage sites such as Boudhanath and Pashupatinath. These heritage sights are among the few places you would get a chance to live the history and culture of for the day.
Boudhanath is the oldest stupa in the country which holds a major significance to the Buddhist population and Nepal in general due to the gigantic prestige it holds for the country and its religious harmony.
Pashupatinath is the holiest temple of Hindus all around the world. A temple is a sacred place where Shiva the destroyer is preached.

After Sightseeing Prepare for Trek by Checking every document necessary for Trek such as permits, travel insurance and soon.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Betrawati (5hrs Drive)

On the third day, you commence the journey that takes you to the majestic Himalayan region of Nepal. As you drive past the Prithiwi Highway in your 4 WD jeep for about 5 hours while indulging in the beautiful views of the greenery and natural tranquility surrounding the region, you reach Betrawati. You will stay the night there as we explore the local culture of the place

Day 04: Drive from Betrawati to Kispang (1600m, 4hrs Drive)

This is the day when the real adventure of the journey showcases itself as we embark on trekking toward Kispang, which is located at an altitude of 1600m. The 4 hours pathway to reach the destination will provide you with wonderful vistas of the hilly region while also coming across glimpses of some peaks. Not to miss, the lush forests also greet you with open arms as you pass by.
You shall camp there for the night while having loads of fun dancing and singing while your palates are enriched by the local cuisine.

Day 05: Trek from Kisapang to Thulo Chaur (2200m, 5hrs Walk)

As you are served a savoring breakfast by the camping crew, you get ready for an interesting trek that is ahead of you for the day. We take afoot the path to Tholo Chaur which is located at an altitude of 2200m. As we keep up with the beaten yet less explored paths we come across various Tamang villages. We reach our destination after about 5 hours of walk. Not to miss, you shall have lunch the local style while taking a break from the trek. We stay overnight at camp in Thulo Chaur.

Day 06: Trek from Thulo Chaur to Gonga (2900m, 4-5hrs)

On your 6th day, you will make your way through the lush green and dense forests of the region. The pine vegetation is sure to make your day a splendid one. The trek demands a steep climb out of you with quite a few descents as well in the way. Whilst trekking the up and down terrain, you might also come across some of the wildlife of the region including boars, small deer, monkeys, and so on. This also is the day you get a glimpse of the majestic Ganesh Himal. So get on full mountain hunting mode getting out your lenses

Day 07: Trek from Gonga to Rupchet (3635m, 4hrs)

After undertaking the trek for about 4 full days you finally get to experience the higher altitudes at about 3635m. With the chilly weather greeting you, the walking gets more adventurous without jeopardizing the immense fun. The pine trees and rhododendron cross your path quite often as you aim to reach the altitude of 3635m to your destination Rupchet. You might consider hitting the bed a little early as you shall head towards Shing La pass in the morning.

Day 08: Trek from Rupchet to Kharka via Shing La Pass (4100m, 7hrs)

Many people who take on this daunting journey tend to maintain that this is the most exciting day of their trip. As the glorious peaks like Ganesh Himal, Boudha Himal, Langtang Lirung, and Manasalu peek at your time and again you shall have a splendid time. While Shing La Pass stands at 4100m above sea level, Kharka village lies at a much lower altitude at 2500 m. You must descend for about 2 hrs in order to reach our destination

Day 09: Trek from Kharka to Borang (1800m, 7hrs)

This trip marks the second half of your trip as you are descending to a lower altitude day after day. The journey today shall take you through silent forests to small and quaint villages. Although this trip takes you to a lower altitude it sure doesn’t miss out on any of the mesmerizing views but it sure gets crispier.

Day 10: Trek from Borang to Jharlang (1700m, 6hrs)

After having your breakfast at Borang you make your way toward Jharlang. The journey to your destination located at 1700m takes you further down the altitude meter at 1700m. The 6 hours walk is hilly and makes you familiar with the way Nepali lives in hilly areas.

Day 11: Trek from Jharlang to Kintang phedi (6hrs)

The 6-hour of walk from Jharlang takes you to your destination for the night, Kintang Phedi. You slowly will witness the view of the mountains fading away as the greenery takes hold of the vicinity. The wondrous vistas on the last day of your trek will just make it up to the serene journey you’ve had so far.

Day 12: Drive to Kathmandu by Private Jeep or Bus (8hrs)

We are on our way back to the city of Kathmandu this day. After your breakfast, you shall leave the hilly village of Kintang Phedi to embark on an 8-hour drive to the city. A 4 WD private jeep shall be your transportation for the day. As you reach Kathmandu a drink at one of the city’s buzzing bars shall surely drown your stressed-out state of yours.

Day 13: Shopping and Final Departure

The next day you shall have the day to yourself. You will explore the city while also buying souvenirs to take home. Your journey home begins today. Our representatives from Friendship World Trek will escort you to the International Airport in accordance with your flight schedule. It’s recommended to arrive at the airport three hours before your flight. Friendship World Trek will provide a fond farewell, ensuring that your experience with us is remembered forever.
