Itinerary


Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and Hotel transfer

Thereafter your rest, you will come out of the hotel to meet the expedition team. There will be a discussion about the itinerary and plans for the trip among all the members. Then you’ll leave your hotel for the night rest after dinner with the team. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Meals: BB Plan + Welcome Dinner.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and preparation for the expedition

After the cultural sightseeing, you will find a way to prepare for the expedition as you will leave Kathmandu the next morning. You might need to buy or rent climbing and trekking essentials for the long expedition. So you’ll reach out to such places for arranging things for your journey. Then doing all of the purchases and arrangements, you’ll retrace the hotel’s way for night rest. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Note: It is not possible to visit all world heritage sites in Kathmandu within a day. So you can choose at least 3-4 places for day sightseeing.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara(820m)

The place is also known as the city of lakes and a city with great mountain views. You will explore the city as much as you can before night falls. The place is quite bright to explore at night also. A stroll around the lakeside can be a healing walk for you. Once you are done with the exploration, you’ll head for the delicious dinner before bedtime. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga(1,577m)

Day 05: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani(2,855m)

Day 06: Early morning hike to Poon Hill(3,210m) & trek to Tadapani(2,590m)

The trek will start with an ascent as usual to find your way to Deaurali La. From there, the walk will be through the deep forest of Rhododendron until Banthanti. You may come across some of the wild animals of the woods. Keeping all of the things behind, you’ll reach Tadapani Village which is another important village in the region. Of course, you can enjoy the mountains through your eyes from here also. Overnight in Tadapani’s teahouse.

Day 07: Trek from Tadapani to Chhomrong(2,340m)

Day 08: Trek from Chhomrong to Bamboo (2,335m)

Soon after leaving Chhomrong, you’ll start to get into the deep forest of Rhododendron, Oak, and Bamboo. The trek is quite a healing one as you will get to trek amid greenery after so long. Moving through the forest, you’ll see some monkeys jumping around. The trek will come to an end after reaching Bamboo. Awesome overnight in Bamboo’s peaceful surroundings.

Day 09: Trek from Bamboo to Deurali (3,230m)

Day 10: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp(4,130m) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp(3,700m)

Before reaching ABC, you’ll trek through the base camp of Iconic Mt Machhapuchhre which lies in the Annapurna Sanctuary. You’ll see loads of mountains today, the thing is pretty sure if clouds are not around. After you reach ABC, you’ll spend an appealing evening and night at the lapse of Mt Annapurna.

Day 11: Rest and Acclimatization day at Annapurna Base Camp

Day 12: Trek from Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) to Hiunchuli Base Camp (HBC) (4600m)

Embark on a challenging trek to Hiunchuli Base Camp. The trail involves traversing steep slopes and rocky terrain. As you gain altitude, the air becomes thinner, and the surroundings transform into a stunning alpine landscape. Reach Hiunchuli Base Camp and prepare for the upcoming climb. Overnight stay at Hiunchuli Base Camp.

Day 13: Trek from Hiunchuli Base Camp (HBC) (4600m) to High Camp (5600m)

From base camp, we further climb to the high camp. Rest and prepare for tomorrow’s climbing.

Day 14: Climb from High Camp (5600m) to Hiunchuli Peak Summit (6441m) and Back to Annapurna Base Camp

Finally, the day to climb the summit has arrived today. We start very early following our guides. We need to encounter some technical climbing stuff before we reach the peak. After we accomplish to climb the summit, we relish the scenic and close up views of Annapurna Mastiffs and spend some memorable time at the top. Then, we descend back to the Annapurna base camp and set our cap for an overnight.

Day 15: Trek from ABC (4,130m / 13,550ft) to Bamboo (2,350m / 7,700ft)

After leaving our footprints on ABC, it is time to climb down. We will take a path that takes us out of the Annapurna Sanctuary and out of the Modi River Valley. Eventually, we will make it to our serene stopover point called Bamboo (2,350m / 7,700 ft) – our destination for the day.

Day 16: Trek from Bamboo (2,350m / 7,700ft) to Jhinu Danda (1,780m / 6,393ft) and nearby natural hot springs

After a long journey from ABC to Bamboo last day, we continue our way towards Jhinu Danda. First, we take a path that takes us down to Kimrong Khola and then ascends through the serene rhododendronbamboo, and oak forests, eventually reaching Jhinu Danda.

Jhinu Danda consistently attracts thousands of visitors each year as an exotic place famous for its soothing natural hot springs, where we will also let our tired muscles relax. From the hot springs, you can enjoy the views of rhododendron forest and lush vegetation.

Day 17: Trek from Jhinu Danda (1,780m / 6,393ft) to Siwa/Ghandruk Phedi (1,150m / 3,770ft) and drive to Pokhara (820m) via Nayapul

We have reached our final day on the trekking trails. After leaving Jhinu Danda, we follow the plain dust road along the right of Modi Khola. This part of the trek forms the most relaxing walk of the entire trip. After trekking for about three hours, we will reach Siwa/Ghandruk Phedi, where we will bid goodbye to the trails and drive through the picturesque countryside to Pokhara. We will be spending the night at Pokhara.

Day 18: Drive from Pokhara (820m / 2,690ft) to Kathmandu (1,350m / 4,450ft)

Early in the morning, we leave Pokhara and head to Kathmandu on a tourist bus. The 200 km route first follows the Marsyangdi River and then the Trishuli river providing great views of the natural scenery and terraced farmlands. The bus makes one last climb, and we finally arrive at Kathmandu – the exact place where the journey began. Your trip concludes, and we hope that your journey was pleasurable and rewarded you with lifelong memories.

Later in the day, Friendship World Trek will be organizing a farewell dinner.

Note– You can take a 20-minute flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu at an extra cost.

Day 19: Final Departure from Kathmandu
