Base Camp: The base camp for the Ganesh Himal Expedition is located at an altitude of 4,200 meters. From here, climbers prepare for the ascent by taking rest days and practicing mountaineering skills. Camp Setup: The expedition team sets up several camps along the way to the summit, each at higher elevations than the previous one. Itinerary


Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m) and Transfer to Hotel

Arrival in Kathmandu. Meet with our friendly representative at the arrival terminal of only International airport. And, then you will be transferred to your hotel. You check-in at your Hotel and then after short rest you can go to explore market area of Thamel – where you can eat your supper, change money, buy some stuffs from supermarket, or buy trekking gears – if you need to do. Later we take you to our office for the trip briefing. Overnight at your hotel. Delay of any kind will postpone the events for next day according to feasibility.

Day 02-03: Kathmandu Sightseeing - 4 hrs tour. Preparation of the Trek, Fix Equipments.

You start the day with delicious breakfast served at your Hotel. The sightseeing involves tour of two religious and cultural sites of Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath stupa. Pashupatinath Temple: It is one of the most celebrated Hindu temples in South-Asia. The temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. This place is a UNESCO world cultural heritage site. The Bagmati river flowing besides the temple is religiously and spiritually significant for Hindus where cremation of dead body takes place. Pashupatinath temple holds the most of prominence during Shivaratri – Shiva’s birthday and thousands of pilgrims gather in the night to celebrate the day. Boudhanath Stupa: It is one of the biggest Stupas in terms of size and height in Nepal and located in east of Kathmandu in the ancient trade route between India-Nepal and Tibet. The site is peaceful and culturally filled with intermixed influence of Tibetan and Sherpa roots. Stupa built in the trading route between Kathmandu and Tibet has four pairs of eyes directed towards all four directions. It is believed to be influenced by Mahayana Buddhist philosophy. Prepare all equipments, gears, and be ready to move. You can purchase some equipments in Kathmandu if you still need. After short tour of city we return to hotel and prepare for the trek. In the latter afternoon, attend expedition briefing session at the Department of Tourism of Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation. By now we prepare all necessary permits. Overnight at the Hotel. Overnight will be spent at hotel.

Day 04:Drive to Arughat (530m/ 1,708 ft) and Walk to Liding | 7 hrs drive

Early in the morning drive to Arughat through hilly adventurous mountain road. This is famous market place of northern Gorkha and part of Dhading district and a gateway to Manaslu and partly to Ganesh Himal trekking/region. Once you arrive Arughat, walk to Liding along the Budi Gandaki river in the beautiful valley. You may cross many small streams and beautiful waterfalls that feed the Budi Gandaki river. Overnight in the tented camp.

Day 05:Trek Liding to Khorla Besi (890 m/ 2894 ft) | 6-7 hrs walk:

You start the day with delicious first breakfast in the mountain with fresh air. And then walk to Khorla Besi which is along the river Budhi Gandaki. Before you reach Khorla Besi, you pass small town called Macchakhola – the administrator center of Dharche rural municipality. Overnight in the tented camp.

Day 06:Trek Khorla Besi to Jagat (1,340 m/ 4,396 ft) | 5-6 hrs walk:

Enjoy your breakfast and then start to walk to Jagat. You have to walk numerous ups and downs before you reach to Tatopani – a natural hot spring in the bank of river. From here walk further up and cross the Budhi Gandaki river to the other side. Cross other smaller streams, past huge landslide area, cross the Budhi Gandaki river again, and finally reach to Jagat for the overnight stay at the tented camp.

Day 07:Trek Jagat to Lokpa (2,240 m/ 7349 ft) | 5-6 hrs walk:

Enjoy your breakfast and then start to walk to Lokpa from Jagat. You have to walk numerous ups and downs today through the small settlements, and forest sections. Arrive Lokpa and overnight in the tented camp.

Day 08: Trek to Phedi from Lokpa and overnight in the tented camp

Day 09:Trek Phedi to Domje (2,450 m):

Today you trek up to Domje. Overnight in the tented camp.

Day 10:Trek Domje to Landan Kharka (3,700 m):

You gain good significant height i.e. 1300m and reach higher from where you start to feel the altitude. Overnight in the tented camp.

Day 11:Trek Landan Kharka to Ganesh Himal Base Camp (4,800 m)

Today you reach to the Base of Ganesh Himal I at the height of 4,800m which will be your temporary home for little more than two weeks. From this place you will participate in acclimatize rotation, and climb the peak.

Day 12-27:Climb Ganesh Himal I (7,429 m) and Descend back to Base Camp

You will climb Ganesh Himal in these days successfully. Our expert management, seasoned Sherpa climber support bring you to the summit. You will spend a day at the Base Camp again after the climbing to clean the Base Camp and pack the gears, equipments etc.

Day 28:Return from Base Camp to Gumba Lungdang

Today you return from the base camp. Trek to Gumba Lungdang and overnight at the tented camp.

Day 29:Trek Gumba Lungdang to Dhampa Gompa

Walk to Dhampa Gompa and overnight at the tented camp.

Day 30:Trek to Lokpa

You return back to Lokpa – where you left the Manaslu trail and deviated towards Ganesh Himal, and stayed one night on the way up to Base Camp. Overnight stay in the tented camp.

Day 31:Trek to Jagat

Trek back to Jagat and overnight in the tented camp.

Day 32:Trek from Jagat to Khorla Besi.

You walk all along the Budhi Gandaki river downstream which you walked upstream at the start of your expedition trip. Arrive Khorla Besi and overnight in the tented camp.

Day 33:Trek to Liding

Walk to Liding from Khorla Besi along theBudhi Gandaki River and overnight in the tented camp.

Day 34:Trek to Arughat and Drive to Kathmandu

You walk a while in the morning from Liding to Arughat and then drive to Kathmandu. Arrive Kathmandu and overnight in the Hotel.

Day 35:Departure Day

As per your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the international airport of Kathmandu three hours prior to the flight time and your tour ends here.
