Itinerary


Day 01: Trek from Manali to Sarchu

Manali – Sarchu – Brandy Nala Drive to Sarchu (3600 mt) via Baralacha La (4950 mt). Trek little ahead and camp at Brandy Nala – the starting point of this exiting trek.

Day 02: Trek from Brandy Nala to Jukta

Brandy Nala – Jukta A short trek towards Ligit plain. Day at leisure for acclimatize to Jukta. Overnight stay in tented camp.

Day 03: Trek from Jukta to Morangla

Jukta – Morangla base The trek is easy following the Bans river. After trekking for an hr, leave the river and trek up to reach a camping place at the base of Morang La Pass at 3900 mt. set-up camp for overnight stay.

Day 04: Morang La base - Morang La - Lun

Morang La base – Morang La – Lun The trek is steep climb till Morang La (5300 mt). After some rest at top, start descending on other side. The trek is steep down-hill in the beginning which later opens-up in a broad plateau. From this places the trek is gentle descent through many valleys till Lun (4100 mt). et-up camp for overnight stay.

Day 05: Lun - Lungmo Che Trek to Lungmo Che (4000 mt).

Lun – Lungmo Che Trek to Lungmo Che (4000 mt). Start the trek along the river following it down-stream. En route cross a small village ‘Sangth’. You may meet some Tibetan Nomad groups en route.

Day 06: Lungmo Che - Yar La - Dat

Lungmo Che – Yar-La – Dat Morning trek to cross Yar la pass (4970 Mts). The climb is long but gentle till top. The Yar La offers fantastic view of Rupsu plains. Arrive Dat (4200 mt) which is a permanently inhabited village. On arrival set-up camp for overnight stay.

Day 07: Dat - Sorra

Dat – Sorra In the morning visit a small Gelukpa monastery at Dat village. Later start trek to Sorra (4950 Mts ). Start the trek by crossing a small river ” Dat Chu”. Trekk till Sorra Chu and after crossing the trek passes through forested area beforw reaching Sorra. Set-up camp alone the river for overnight stay.

Day 08: Sorra - Zalung Karpo La - Mid Camp

Sorra – Zalung Karpo La – Mid Camp Morning strat trek with climb to a small pass for about 1 hr. From this point, you can see Zalung Karpo La (4200 mt. ). after some time the vally opens-up. Camp at suitable place for overnight stay.

Day 09: Mid Camp - Langtan Chu

Mid Camp – Langtan Chu Morning trek to Langtang Chu – (7-8 Hrs ). A long trek through valleys. This day one has to cross many small streams. The trek is gradual climb till at camp site near Langtan Chu at 4750 mt.

Day 10: Langtau Chu - Nimaling

Langtau Chu – Nimaling Morning trek to Nimaling – enroute cross two ridges (5000 mt & 5060 mt). Later on cross Konka Wangpo pass (5090 mt). descend on othe side of the pass to high altitude pasture plan of Nimaling (4700 mt).

Day 11: Nimaling Day at leisure or explore surroundings area. Nimaling is also base

Nimaling Day at leisure or explore surroundings area. Nimaling is also base camp for climbing Mt. Kang-Yatse (6400 mt).

Day 12: Chogdo - Shang - Hemis - Leh

Trek till Shang Sumdo (road head). Drive to Hemis Monastery. Its one of the most famous and impressive monastery of Leh. Visit the monastery and later drive to Leh.

Day 13: Final Departure from Delhi

Early morning transfer to Leh airport to flight for Delhi.
