Itinerary

The flight to Paro is one of the best experiences of flying over the Himalayas. The landing in Bhutan offers some amazing views of mountains along with the Himalayas ranges. As you land in Bhutan airport, clear all the immigration and custom formalities in the airport and get out of the airport. Our Bhutanese crew member will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to a hotel in Paro. We can visit Ta Dzong and   Kichu Lhakhang today. While Ta Dzong was a watchtower that is now a national museum, Kichu Lhakhang is one of the country’s oldest temples. In the evening, we stroll around the streets of Paro. Tonight, spend your time at a hotel in Paro.

Early in the morning, we get set for a hike to Tiger’s Nest monastery. After breakfast at the hotel, we set up a wonderful hike up to Taktsang monastery, which is also popular as Tiger’s Nest monastery. We walk uphill for around two to three hours to explore a beautiful Buddhist monastery that clings to a cliff. The dramatic location of the monastery adds value to the beauty of the monastery. As per mythology, Guru Rinpoche had flown to this place on a tiger’s back to meditate in a cave here. The monastery stands in the same place where Guru Rinpoche has meditated. Hike up to the monastery offers some spectacular view of Paro valley. After exploring the monastery, we get down to Paro city for lunch. If we couldn’t visit Kichu Lhakhang and Ta Dzong earlier due to time constraints, we can visit those places today. After that, we drive along a scenic route to the capital city of Bhutan – Thimphu. Though the capital city, Thimphu, is effortless. Imagine a capital city with around one lakh population that doesn’t have traffic lights on the road! Isn’t it interesting? Our day starts with a sightseeing tour around Thimphu city. After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at the hotel for a sightseeing tour around Thimphu city. At Thimphu, we visit Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Lhakhang, National Library, and the Institute for Zorig Chusum, Textile museum, Trashichhoedzong, etc. After visiting the above-mentioned places, we head towards Paro valley. The route to Paro is scenic, accompanied by magnificent views of mountains and forests. On the route, we can visit Simtokha Dzong too. Tonight, spend your time at a hotel in Paro.

Today, fly home from Paro city or continue your travel to some other destinations around the globe. You will be dropped at the airport three hours before your scheduled flight. We hope you had a great time with us. Thank you, have a safe journey home.
