Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal, travelers are greeted by the bustling energy of this vibrant city. After clearing customs and collecting luggage, a pre-arranged transfer takes them to their chosen hotel in Kathmandu. Our Tour Guide leads you to explore around Kathmandu valley for sightseeing. Explore historical and spiritual attractions; including the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square; the House of Living Goddess “Kumari” and Kasthamandup temple” (said to have been built from a single tree in 16th century), Big bell-Big drams, Erotic carvings in old temples, old palace etc., Bouddhanath; one of the largest Stupas in Nepal, and Swayambhunath – situated on top of a hill and known as the Monkey Temple, it is one of the oldest Buddhist Stupa in the world, which has been registered in UNESCO heritage side. Pasupatinath; Hindus holy place, Sadhus and pilgrims bathing at occasionally, funeral pyres burning on the Ghats, located on the holy Bagmati river. Patan is very famous for woodcarving, Metal works, Temples and Monasteries. If we have time there are still more remarkable sites. One of the oldest cities in Kathmandu valley, “Bhaktapur” is known as the Living Museum. With old brick-paved enclaves of the old Royal palace, Nyathapola Temple, and Datatriya temple feature exquisite artwork which offers a picture of the grandeur of medieval Nepal. The Chandragiri Range edges along the southeastern part of Kathmandu Valley at an elevation of 2275m. There are so many interesting stories about Chandra Giri Hill. Legend has it that this summit was once so rich in Chandan (Sandalwood) trees that Goddess Parvati herself, the mythical mother of all living beings, rummaged around its foothills to look for them. In fact, some scholars believe that the name Chandragiri was derived from the original Chandan- Giri, Giri Meaning Mountain in Sanskrit – although, considering the exploits of Rana Prime Minister Chandra Shumsher, it might be equally tempting to attribute the name to him.
