Itinerary
An early morning a scenic flight to Paro Airport, in a clear weather you will be amazed to see the highest peak of the world, Mt Everest. Friendship World Treks representative will receive you in the Airport terminal.
This pretty destination is covered with terraced paddy fields and quaint farmhouses scattered throughout the valley while its upper reaches boast coniferous forests. Among its many temples, Paro is most famous for the iconic Takhtsang Lakhang (also known as the Tiger’s Nest), situated at the northern end of the valley.
Afternoon visit memorial Chorten built in the memory of Lt. His Majesty the King by Royal Queen Mother, then after visit Buddha view point from where one can have panoramic view of Thimphu city. Evening visit Tashihchodzong the parliament house of the country and scroll by the King’s palace
Morning visit Changangkha Lhakhang, Motithang (National animal) The Takin preserve centre, later drive to Dochula pass (10,000ft) from where you can see the beautiful view of Eastern Himalayan range in the clear sunny day. After Lunch drive to Thimphu.
The sacred Buddha Dordenma: Sitting atop a hill overlooking the beautiful city, the giant Shakyamuni Buddha statue is considered to be the world’s largest seating gilded Buddha and attracts uncountable visitors seeking peace and spirituality each year. A Thimphu must-visit.
After an early breakfast, we take a drive to beautiful city of Paro. We visit the popular Taktshang Monastery (Tiger Monastery), century old cultural icon of Bhutan. After back from Taktshang you will visit to Farmhouse to experience the traditional living styles of the Bhutanese people. The visit to museums and street markets of Paro are other attractions of this day.
Our representatives will drop you to Airport for your flight to onward destinations to Kathmandu/ Delhi/ Kolkata / Gaya / Bangkok / Singapore.
