Day 1: Your journey begins in the vibrant town of Lukla, where a scenic flight from Kathmandu lands you amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Khumbu region. From Lukla, trek to Phakding, a charming village nestled along the Dudh Koshi River. The trek provides a gentle introduction to the trekking experience. Itinerary
About 2 hours to 2 and Half hours you will reach in a small settlement of Chhukung. You are requested to meet our Climbing Guide and porters approximately 5:00 PM. We will provide you our Guide’s mobile number and tea house where he is staying for the meeting. After introduce, the Guide will give brief instruction about trip itinerary, plan and check your climbing gars to make sure that everything is properly organize. The package program begin from Chhukung, due to until this day; you will do trip by yourself. Rest of the time explores yourself and stay overnight at Chhukung. Please, take care you’re your expenses by yourself. The Peak climbing package program will effective from tomorrow.
From this day your adventure trip to the Island Peak begins. After out from the village, the trail climb steeply up to the south turn east to enter the main trail into Imja Valley. Then continue through the pleasant walk along a bank of Imja Khola and meet glacier marine get to the big –rock. Where you will see another route on the right side, which goes for the Amphu Lapcha Pass to stretch on the southeast direction. But you will catch the lift route to the North for the Island Peak Base Camp. This is challenging trail through the Imja and Lhotse glacier moraines. Then the trail leads you to a wide valley flanking Island peak where we will set up our base camp (4,970m). Stay overnight at tented camp after having hot dinner.
From today your adventure trip to the Island Peak begins. After having breakfast, our guides will give you training on peak climbing techniques and the proper ways of using climbing gears such as the ice axe, climbing boots and crampons, harness, ascender, etc. You will know how to use ropes to go up and down and safety other roles. It is not compulsory to have prior training for Island Peak Climbing, even though we strongly believe that this training will boost your confidence and climbing skills, which will support to get on summit of the peak and as well as to fully enjoy entire trip. The rest of the day, you may hike to High Camp (5,600m) and back or resting for the next day’s climb. You will stay overnight tented camp at base camp.
Today this is quite big day for you. You need to wake up early mid night around at 12 to 1 am and have breakfast before beginning our climb. It is important that we must reach on the summit before noon due to avoid strong winds in the afternoon. Sometime the strong winds might be cause of a hurdle to successful summit. As this is climbing trip, need to use climbing technique and tool where is require. Anyway, after Base Camp the trail striking off the steep hillside for several hundred meters. At first, sandy trail and it turns to grass before reaching boulder strewn. You will see slope narrow trail further ahead, which is enter a steep rock channel. There are several short rock steps before emerge on the right side of rock gully. You may not fell that much difficult to climb. After this the trail follows a ridgeline to the summit through the glacier snout, with exciting journey. Our Guide will fix rope from here and you need to use fixed rope and man rope for the safety. Finally, a steep snow slope leads you on to top of the Island Peak. Normally, the fixed rope need about 350 meters, however the length depends on climbing season and crevasses. Recently, there are appear two new crevasses with approximately 3 ½ to 4 meters long. To cross these crevasses we will use ladders. Spending sometime on the top with some pictures and joy, we will descend to the Island Peak Base Camp, where some of our crew is waiting for us. We will celebrate on our successful climbing at Base Camp with entire team. Stay overnight at tented camp.
The high Lander weathers cannot be predicted, any time might be change and snow falling, raining or storming. That why, this day is set as a contingency day in case we are unable to summit the Island Peak on your desired day due to unfavorable weather conditions, physical weakness or any other unexpected reason. But, if the trip goes smoothly according your itinerary, this day won’t be required.
You are joyfully today, after successful trip to the Island Peak Top last day. After having breakfast you will descend to the lower altitudes following the same route back through the wide valley of Imja Khola, pass through the beautiful Sherpa villages, Chhukung, Dingbuche, Orsho and Shomare and fainally get in Pangbuche regular EBC trail. There is alternative trail for the Upper Pangbuce to see Monastery, which from 5th century. Pangboche (3,930m) is a scenic village surrounded by mountains Mt, Everest on north direction, mighty Peak Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kangtaiga to the east, the Kongde range to the south and the Imja Tse River flowing through the wide fertile valley. Stay overnight at Pangbuche Village at Tea house.

Island Peak (Imja Tse) is one of the most popular trekking peaks in the Everest region an elevation of 6,169 meters, located between Mt. Ama Dablam and Lhotse. The Everest Expedition team of British Eric Shipton made an epic journey to the top of the Imja Tse Peak in 1952 for the first time, since then it becomes the most legendary peak in Nepal. Imja Tse is surrounded by Lhotse Glacier, Imja Glacier, Amphulapcha Glacier, Chhukung Glacier, and Ama Dablam Glacier. As it is situated middle of the Glacier like an Island on a sea of ice, he gave its the name Island Peak. Now it is familiar as Island Peak.
