Trip Introduction

Everest Heli Tour is a great way to experience Everest in just one day. We begin our helicopter tour from Kathmandu and fly towards the east to Lukla which is a beautiful Sherpa village. From here we fly over the Everest Base Camp which is one of the most popular trekking destinations in the world. From our helicopter, we also admire great views of the Khumbu Glacier which is ideally located between Mt. Everest and the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. Next, we stop at Kalapathhar for the grandest views of the world’s highest mountain and it’s neighboring Himalayas. Then we fly to Syangboche and spend around twenty minutes at a hotel for breakfast while also admiring the beautiful Himalayan vista. We fly back to Lukla for fueling and return to Kathmandu and end our amazing helicopter day tour of Everest. The entire Everest Heli Tour gives us a unique opportunity to not just reach the base camp of Everest, the highest mountain on Earth but get the best aerial views of Everest and neighboring Himalayas on an exclusive helicopter flight.

Important Note: Spending only around five minutes in Kalapathhar will prevent us from getting altitude sickness. Our helicopter will be on stand-by at Kalapathhar, therefore, it is technically impossible to spend more than the allocated time.

Best Time to Travel

The best time to take this trip is from September to April. Although spring and autumn are Nepal’s popular tourist seasons, a helicopter day trip in the winter guarantees equally clear views that will have you mesmerized. However, being the monsoon season the months of June, July and August are not recommended.

Itinerary

6:00 Am pick up from hotel.
A private vehicle for your group will be sent at hotel at 6 am. We then will move to domestic terminal of the airport and complete all the formality.

6:30 am – 7:00 am
Tickets, paper work, and weighting of passengers. Going on to helipad.

7:00 am—7:30 am
We will take off from airport and helicopter will take you to Lukla. You can enjoy the bird eye view of city as well as some scatter settlements of many place. You will also see many Himalayan ranges and amazing forests.

8:15—8:30 am
Helicopter refueling and fly over Everest Base Camp.
Once you reach Lukla the chopper stops for refueling. The refueling usually takes about 15 minutes. After refueling you will fly towards EBC. You will witness change in topography as now you are flying above hills of Namche bazar.

8:30—9:30 am Hotel Everest view.
After being on lap of mountain for a while we fly to Hotel Everest View for breakfast. We also have amazing view from hotel. Admiring the Himalayan views with some food and beverage will be an experience of lifetime.

Breakfast time at Hotel Everest View. (1 hour).

Hotel Everest View is the renowned hotel in Everest Region. It provides breathtaking view of Mt. Everest and other surrounding peaks. The services and food provided are nice and tasty. You will order your breakfast and enjoy the mountain views with the breakfast. Many climbers and trekkers as well as the Sherpas of the Himalayas come to this hotel for the breakfast and to enjoy the scenic view. Having a delicious breakfast at this altitude will be the most exciting experience for you.

Everest Luxury Breakfast at Hotel Everest View

9:30 am- 10:00 am: Fly Lukla and refuel.

After an hour of breakfast in the hotel, you will then fly back to Lukla again with the amazing and thrilling views of the Himalayas. The helicopter will land at Lukla for 15 minutes for refueling and then will proceed to Kathmandu.

10:00 am-11:00 am: Return Kathmandu.

After refueling break, the flight will take off from Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu. In 45 minutes, the flight will land you to Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. You will notice the same mountain ranges and scattered human settlements while returning. A vehicle will pick you up from the domestic terminal and then drop you to your respective hotel.
