Itinerary

Meet our representative on arrival at Bagdogra airport or NJP railway station and drive to Kalimpong. Upon arrival, check into a hotel. In the evening you are free to explore the local area. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast drive to Kalimpong (4000 ft), a drive of 76 km. Also known as the garden of flowers, the town has almost everything that defines scenic beauty like flowers, greenery, waters, mists and clouds.

After breakfast we will go for a sightseeing tour of Kalimpong. The tour will include a visit to Durpin Hill, which has the famous Zong Dog Palri Fo- Brang Monastery that belongs to the same Buddhist sect as the present Dalai Lama. We will also visit the Jelapla View Point, Pine View Point, Kalim Temple, Dr Graham’s Homes Complex. The complex has historic church and well maintained grounds founded in 1900 by Rev. Dr. J A Graham, a Scottish missionary. Later, we will take you to Delo Hill (5556 ft) that appears to be the roof- of- the- world, is the highest point in Kalimpong. Delo also has the town’s picturesque water reservoir. Thereafter, we will visit the Mangal Dham Temple constructed in memory of the late Guru Shree (108) Mangal Dasji and dedicated to Lord Krishna. Further, Kalimpong Arts & Crafts Centre is another important stopover.

In the afternoon drive to Gangtok, the land of unspoiled natural beauty with alpine landscapes, thick luxuriant forests, rivers in torrent and peaceful lakes. On arrival, check into a hotel. For rest of the day you are free to explore the local area. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, proceed to Tsongmo Lake (12,210 ft) and Baba Mandir, a 40 km drive which takes 2.5 hrs. This lake is located very close to Nathu La Pass, which is the entry point to China termed as the “Silk Route” and remains frozen for most parts of the year. The lake is home to the Brahminy ducks and many migratory birds. Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir, which is highly acknowledged for its spiritual worth. We can also visit Nathu La Pass, which is the border of India and China. Later drive back to Gangtok. In the evening you are free for your own activities, followed by overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast drive to Bagdogra airport or NJP railway station for reaching your onward destination.
